Most of you have now learned of the tragic accident that affected the Smizaski family. There are no words to express the sense of loss we all feel.  Margie Smizaski will be deeply missed for her warm personality, boundless enthusiasm and generous smile.  As you may know, Nicole Smizaski is an avid soccer player and member of Chatham United, and her father Joe has spent countless hours volunteering on the Board.

Many people in the community have generously expressed a desire to help. In order to provide the family with the time and privacy they will need, a family friend has offered to be the contact person between the community and family (Karen Kelly, 973 635-7670, or kellyfam@comcast.net).  Those wishing to assist the family with their immediate needs, and longer term help rebuild their lives, may make a donation to the PTO of the Chathams, Inc. Emergency Assistance Fund. Checks may be brought to the LAS school office or mailed to PTO of the Chathams, Inc., PO Box 104, Chatham NJ 07928.
